  1. Coed Outdoor 4 on 4 Volleyball League

    June 2, 2020, All Day @ Nampa Recreation Center

    Join Nampa Parks and Rec for this outdoor volleyball league. Games will be played in a 4 on 4 format at the Nampa Rec Center’s back lawn. Each team will play one self-officiated match on Tuesday evenings with a total of 8 matches. Teams with the best record at the end of the season will be awarded champion t-shirts. Ages 15 and up

  2. Junior Golf League

    June 2, 2020, All Day @ Ridgecrest Golf Club

    This fun and exciting eight week Junior League gives kids the opportunity to get out on the course and compete with other kids their own age. Kids will compete in various weekly competitions (Scramble, Best Ball, Fewest Putts, Mystery Hole, Blind Hole, Stroke Play, etc…) and must provide their own clubs.   3. Tai Chi Classes

    June 2, 2020, All Day @ Nampa Recreation Center

    The beginning class covers the fundamentals of Tai Chi including: basic movements, breathing, meditation, warm-up form and an introduction on the Yang Style Short form. The intermediate class continues with movements, breathing, meditation, the Yang Short form, Yang Long form, fan form, sword form and an introduction to push hands (Tai Chi sparring).

  4. Jr. Lifeguard Boot Camp

    June 2, 2020, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Lions Park

    Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard, such as recognizing a drowning victim, how to assist someone who is struggling in the water and how to perform CPR and First Aid. Must be able to swim 25 yards front crawl, 25 yards breaststroke and tread water for one minute. Upon completion each student will receive an American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification. Ages 11-14

    This six-week course will cover a variety of equipment and free weights helping you to feel more comfortable in the weight room. You will learn more about weight room etiquette and jargon, safe and effective training techniques, the five fitness components and their benefits, and have lots of time to practice what you learn!

  7. Archery Begins

    June 2, 2020, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Nampa Bow Chiefs

    Basic Archery: Students will learn basic technique and form using a compound bow. Equipment, safety and elements of shooting will be covered. Advanced Archery: Class will cover equipment, safety and advanced form and technique using a compound bow. All classes held at Nampa Bow Chiefs, 222 West Railroad. Equipment is provided. Students may use their own equipment with instructor approval. Registration deadline is the Friday prior to class.
