1. Why is the Play Center closed on weekdays between 1 and 4 p.m.?

The schedule of the Play Center has always been based on the most popular Fitness class schedules for parents of children ages infant through 5 years, as well as allowing for the normal times when parents are meeting their school children after school and young children are taking naps.

2. Why can’t my 6 year old come to the Play Center?

Some 6 year old children have a very different energy level than is safe to be around the infants and toddlers. They are bigger, move faster, and have more energy to be active.

We did test out having 6 year-olds in when we first opened the Play Center, but found it to be boring for them and unsafe for the younger children.

There are other things 6 year-olds are able to do while you work out, just ask the front desk for options.

3. Who can check my child in and out of the Play Center?

The parent or guardian who signs the child in is the only person allowed to take the child out. If both parents are able to pick up the child, both parents need to be on the sign in sheet.  I.D. is required upon pickup.

4. What if the class I am in goes over an hour? Will I have to pay for the extra time?

We allow 10 minutes for you to get to and from your class without charge. If you are over the 10 minutes, we charge you for another half hour.

5. Who will be taking care of my child?

The Play Center staff is made up of trained childcare professionals certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid.

6. Can I stay with my child at the Play Center?

Parents are welcome to help their child get settled, but after a few minutes it's really best for the parent to leave.

7. What if a child is sick? Will they be allowed to come to the Play Center?

The Play Center has an illness policy, which requires that parents keep their child out of the Play Center if they have any contagious illness.

8. Can my child bring in their own toys?

We discourage children from bringing in their own toys as this causes many problems. The Play Center has many age appropriate toys available for all the children to use.

9. Can I leave my cell phone number and run do a short errand while my child is at the Play Center?

No. The Play Center is not a licensed day care and for liability reasons we need to be able to contact a parent on the premises in case of an emergency.

10. My child has never been left with anyone before. What do you do if my child cries?

The Play Center staff is very experienced with helping ease the separation and will work with you to make your child feel comfortable as soon as possible. We are able to page the parent if the child is not calming down after a reasonable amount of time.

11. Why can't people other than parents bring children to the Play Center?

The Play Center has limited space and is intended for families to have a place to leave their children while they work out. There is a Special Circumstance Form available at the Play Center that allow for temporary child check in and out for "non-parents" when necessary.
