Recycling is a great way to be environmentally responsible. City of Nampa Parks Division recycles leaves and Christmas trees by turning them into mulch which is used throughout Nampa’s parks and placed in tree wells to retain moisture. You can do your part for the environment by recycling your leaves and Christmas trees using the following programs:
Christmas trees may be dropped off at Kohlerlawn Cemetery. Trees will be accepted the day after Christmas until the middle of January. Signs will be posted near the cemetery that gives directions to the specific “drop off” location. Only trees free of the following will be accepted:
Leaves may be dropped off at Kohlerlawn Cemetery. Leaves will be accepted throughout the fall, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (November-mid December only). Signs will be posted near the cemetery that gives directions to the specific “drop off” location. Loose leaves only, no bags or other non-recyclable materials. Sorry, tree limbs and brush are not allowed.
