Red Cross Lifeguard Training

This course is designed for experienced swimmers ages 15 and older that want to become Red Cross Lifeguards. Advanced skills are taught and information about lifesaving techniques will be presented. Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications are awarded upon successful completion of the course. COURSE PREREQUISITES: 300 yard swim using front crawl and breaststroke, retrieval of a 10 pound brick from 7ft of water and 2 minutes of treading water with no hands. If you are unsure whether you can complete the prerequisites, sign up for a skills evaluation. Refund request must be made 4 business days before start of class. **Multiple sessions available** Member $150; Non-Member $200

Kids In Action Day Camp

Kids in Action philosophy: Our philosophy focuses on creating a fun and safe environment in which your child participates in interesting activities, while developing worthwhile friendships. Supervision is provided to offer an enjoyable and safe environment. Eligibility: Kids in Action is open to children grades K - 5. Pre-registration is required the day prior to attendance. Transportation is provided from the Nampa public schools to the Recreation Center for students enrolled in the Nampa School District and attending KIA before school and/or after school programs. Transportation is not provided for Charter or Private school students attending KIA after school programs. Parents are asked to arrange transportation for these students. Horsemanship Camp

The Nampa Rec Department has partnered with Blazing Hope Youth Family Ranch to offer this day camp and answer basic horse care and riding questions. Long pants and closed toe shoes required. Students will be cleaning stalls, grooming and riding horses. Bring your lunch ** Ages 10-14 ** June 26-28 ** 9am-1pm ** Depart & Return: Nampa Rec Center ** Member $85

Messy Munchkins

Bring home a unique work of art made by your little one. Session one includes a clay pizza plate, a charming wooden animal magnet and a piece of canvas art. Session two will include an aquarium themed fish mug, a safari photo frame, and a mixed media painting ** Ages 2-4 (w/parent/caregiver) ** Session I: June 6-20; Session II: July 11-25 ** Member $45; Non-Member $50
